Nono - I don’t use email alerts, but I do know a little (very little) bit about email systems. I tried sending via that specific server because I have sufficient access to it to let me get at the raw logs. It’s not mine, I’m just an admin (well ok, one of THE admins ;) ).
What I was thinking was for you to have a local mailserver on a spare old PC. Your workstation could send the mail to you as a local user - that part never needs to see the internet as such, just the LAN (intranet). It could also be configured to allow you read the mail from anywhere like you would with any mail system - it’s all about configuration, allowing certain protocols to be “public” but requiring logins (to read the mail), but no such requirement for mail sent TO a local user FROM a specific local IP. Done that way you wouldn’t need any mods to Max.
I do have Mercury installed, but the HDD it’s on isn’t in the PC - if I have time I’ll have a play over the weekend.
