I have also had this happen. In once project, I built a low wall just outside the existing wall that covered the intersection of the wall and floor. In your case, you’ll want to cover the area where your wall and ceiling meet. In fact, I would make a new wall that extends higher and lower than your existing wall and just cut a hole in it to allow the light through around the window.
I believe this is caused by a stray photon that leaks it’s energy around the corner of the wall from outside to inside.
Some of the lighting issues on the chairs may be due to settings. If you haven’t already, set a Maximum Sampling Radius for your photons. With no value, Max defaults to 1/10th the total size of the scene, which can make for some very large photons. Ideally, your photons would just overlap, and in a scene this size I’d go with 6” to 18”, depending on how many photons you’re shooting.
