Hi Guys,

I’m having a bit of an issue with an animation of a fly through i’m trying to render.

I have my scene set up with a vray sun, gamma values set at 2.2. I’ve also set the color mapping gamma values to 2.2 as well. When I render using the Vray frame buffer, I have to color correct the image after the render is complete. This works well with a single frame, but with an animation. It does not seem to apply the color correction to the saved out files.

Do I need to save out each frame in some sort of RAW format and do color correction in post production? Or is there a way to simply color correct each frame?

I also tried using exposure controls, but even though the logarithmic one helps, it does not do as good a job as the Vray Frame Buffer controls.

Any help is appreciated.

Just to state, that I found the solution to this. I can save the frames out to a vrimg file in the vray frame buffer settings. I had tried this before, but for some reason, this time it saved out multiple frames!

Sometimes working late into the evening dulls the brain a bit :)

You should ALWAYS save a file sequence and NOT a motion file...I will let you search for why.
Also, unless you have a high end monitor or did a screen calibration, how do you know if it is giving good results?
