Im rendering a scene no matter what type of light im using (with ray traced shadows turned on) the shadow will not render. I can see the shadow, in the final gather stage of the render, but then in the final pass mental ray does not render the shadows.
Under the renderer tab-> shadows and displacement i have shadows enabled.
The shadows come across fine in the scanline.
Is this a known bug? or am I just missing something?
Any advice will be appreciated.

If the shadows are enabled for the lights and for the renderer, the only other place they could be disabled is in Object Properties, cast shadows or recieve shadows.
Does this problem only occur in this scene?
What lights are you using?

its only in this scene, cast, and recieve shadows are turned on in every object.
Ive tried this with every standard light except for skylight, as well as with target and free photometrics

have you tried it with a Daylight System?  That would be what I recommend.

Otherwise, does the shadow show up if FG is off?

It does not work with daylight, it does not work with FG off,
It only works with the scanline.

zip up the max file and post it on here, or a cut down version of it
