Hi all! This is my first post here, though I’ve been around for a while ^^

Do you know if there is a tool that can be used for aligning adjacent faces’ textures quickly? I’m looking for something like the ‘alt+right click’ feature in Valve’s Hammer editor. Currently, in 3ds Max, I’m forced to use the uvw modifiers, which is a much slower and more cumbersome way to do it, as well as a dirtier one.

Check the attached youtube video; from 11:00 to 13:30, you can see what I mean. With that tool, seams are totally invisible among the two desired faces.

Is there anything like that in 3ds Max? If there isn’t, wouldn’t it be wonderful? :-S

Thanks in advance!

I don’t know a tool like this in max and it is not that wonderful, max cannot have everything you know, but it is a good candidate for the Wish list I think.
:)
Anyway, assuming you are aiming adjusting one map over several faces (planes) of a model without visible seams; there is a the Map Scaler modifier in max.
(See Attachment)
(By different maps Multi Sub-Object material is needed and all goes trough the map tiling options.)
