I was wondering if anybody knows how to change the Default Material the Material Editor uses. I use V-Ray and would like it so much better if all the slots used V-Ray materials by default instead of the arch+design materials.

Any help is much appreciated.

Max version? That sounds like the Compact (legacy) Material editor rather than the Slate editor in Max2012.
