HI I posted this in the last forum and now its gone boohoo.
Is it possible to have a materials coordinates with World XYZ Offset and with Object XYZ Tiling???
I have growing structures where I dont want stretching maps caused by object xyz tiling. But the structures are moving about so I dont want the world xyz coordinates otherwise they maps dont stick to the surface.
I need World XYZ Offset with Object XYZ Tiling
How can I do this?
Tried methods so far...I have made custom scripted uvw maps and also scripted material maps where the uvw coorinates are tied to the objects scale, this works BUT it creates huge memory sizes. The scripted uvw map modifier is the worst , probably a bug and uses several gigs of memory when I have a couple of hundred growing objects. Making mental ray crash on render and slowing the work flow down to unusable speeds. Material scripts just about work memorybut still use gigs and gigs of virtual memory.
