Hi,

I’m trying to map an object to a bitmap.
Clicking “Show Standard Map in Viewport” in Material dialog
does not show either (Please see attachment).

But i can only see it after render.

How can i make mapping visible in viewport before rendering?

Maps built into Promaterials do not show in the viewport.  If you’ve added a Bitmap map, and hit the button to Show Map in Viewport at the Map level, then it should show just fine.  Make sure you have the correct mapping on the object.

It’s hard to tell from your screen shot what is wrong.  You have a Promaterial selected in the Material Editor, but the object you have selected is using a different material.

If you still can’t get it to work, do a Save Selected on one of the objects, then zip it along with your map file used, and post it here so we can take a look.

I opened your file, and because your images were not included I had to replace them with an image from my library.  Worked fine here.

Any idea why it does not show in viewport for my case?

Been searching for some hotfix but to no avail.

Not sure why it isn’t working for you.  Have you tried using a different image in the bitmap slot?  Maybe there’s something with the image you’re using…

Otherwise, I have no clue.

i had the same trouble. For me… it’s some kind of glitch when importing an FBX from Revit. If I replace the diffuse with a new bitmap and reference the same image file...it shows up fine.  Kind of a pain when your talking about aligning lights to a mapped ceiling grid.
