Anyone ever ran into this issue? All of my materials preview spheres in my Material Editor looks desaturated. Is there a setting to change?

I’m on a MacbookPro.

Max version?

Could be a Gamma issue.
Customise > Preferences > Gamma & LUT. 2 options for Colour Selectors and Material Editor.

Max 4.2 through 2014, Composite 2014.
XP-64 (SP2).
nVidia 9800GTX+ (512MB) (Driver 314.22).

Turning off “Affect Material Editor” will probably fix that if you currently have it turned on.  However, this will now result in the material editor not showing what your final render will look like (if you’re using gamma correction on your final render).

Also note that you many need to right click the material swatch in the Material Editor and manually update it to see the effect after you turn off “Affect Material Editor”.  It never updates automatically for me for some reason.
