My question is how can i put texture to these about 142 stamens, i was trying with the one at the top left of the image, first with Unwrap uv, giving uv coordinates and then with viewport canvas painting the base with yellow and the top with white and result fine, but how can i do it for 142? I was thinking to do it with the Composite material but i have to repeat 142 time the same process, could it be a better way to do it?

Thanks

You should have set the mapping on the original object, before making all the copies so you only have to do it once.
Rather than using viewport canvas you could do this simply by using a Gradient Ramp making a close transition from yellow to white.

You are right, and by the way i found the answer for my question of putting a video inside an image.
Thanks

Question, set mapping you mean Unwrap and flatten image or UVW Map? If Unwrap, after assigning it then i have to convert to Edit poly and the make the copies?

You could probably just apply a UVW Mapping Modifier, set to planar, and you’d be good to go. To propagate it, you can try my objectReplacer script to replace the already made stamens with your newly mapped one…

Thanks a lot. I´m now working with the Unwrap, i don´t know if planar would do it?

Well, i continue asking for help beacause although i have a nice result with Unwrap and gradient ramp, it can´t be copy-pasted to other stamens, and with UVMap by itself i couldn’t get the effect well done cause i have to change the bend angle, its not a cylinder and fit doesn´t work, also planar doesn’t get it.
This is with Unwrap and gradient ramp so i think i will have to repeat the process 142 times unless anyone has any other idea.

Isn’t it easier to try a solution with instanced Multi-sub object material?
The two part of the object are well defined so they can have different IDs.
Clone them, position them as you like it select all and assign the MSO material.
You can work further at sub-object mode without damaging the material solution if needed. Also there is the Preserve UVs option in the editable poly definition.

Well, finally i have to erase every stamen but one, rotate it to vertical position, apply a UV Map, Cylindrical, the UV Map below the Bend modifier, and the begin to locate it and bend it, thanks to everyone, and the result is this:

That looks very nice. Sometimes it really does pay to start over and get to it...! Cheers.
