Hi,
Can someone verify something for me?
Does the array of materials under the scenematerials reflect the order they were created in a scene.
I`m trying to figure out the order materials were created in my scene and it seems the scenematerial array order does this.

thanks,
andy

Hey Andy,

I observed that sceneMaterials were listed in the order that they were applied to objects in the scene, but this was not the order I created them in the material Editor.

This got me thinking “what happens on a merge/import etc?”, so I saved my scene out and merged it into a blank one; sceneMaterials listed the order in which they were added to THIS scene—alphabetically by object name.

Hope this helps.
