Hi,
I used to run Marc Lorenz’z Vray render preset manager- active x browse window- It was awesome..

I cant run it now we have update to 64bit (i realise I am behind the times here!)

i heard an easy fix is to install Max 8?

I am running Windows 7

I have tried registering mscomctL in sysWOW64 directory and in mscomct2 in the sysWOW64 directory- both were successful but no luck in Max 2012

Failing that can someone lead me to a link on activex/ dotnet conversion? somehow though with my limited grasp of maxscript that will be a tall order!

Thanks

OK, I tried everything- started to try and convert the file- that will take 10 years for me! I can barely write a basic loop never mind this!

is there a freelancer out there who can help me- I cant imagine it would be more than a couple of hours work if you knew what you were doing…

thanks

Did you try to use that script with Max 2012 32 bit ?

Problems with ActiveX are usually because of 64 bit versions, not becuase of new Max Versions..

So installing the 32 bit version of Max 2012 and run the script there might possibly still work…

Hi.
yeah 32bit works fine but we have migrated to the 64bit version generally-

I can get around it as you say- but not for long!
