Hi,

I`m looking for a way of grabbing the group info off one object and applying it to another so that the new object is part of the same group the other one is part of.
Is this possible in Max? I`ve checked through the maxscript help file but haven’t found a way of doing this.

Thanks,
Andy

Do you mean detaching an object from one group and adding it to another?

There’s plenty in the help on how to do that, there’s even 2 new functions to help you do it (in Max 2010).
attachNodesToGroup and detachNodesFromGroup - search for them in the help, they’re in the Node Common Properties topic.
