include literally inserts the text from the specified file into the current script (when the script is running) as if it was written in there to begin with.

filein executes the other script.

As always - these are described in the Maxscript help. Read the warnings (for filein) about the scope because if you don’t understand what it’s doing you’ll likely get problems.



Max 4.2 through 2013.
