Hi,

i am trying to set up a scene to model a car. (3ds Max 2008)

I use a background image in the top, left and right viewport as a reference. But when I load the images and start working the background images change shape and i have to reload them every time. And it lookes like they don’t match up right although they are the same aspect ratio (images from one complete blueprint).

Normaly I use a Plane in every viewport and apply the images there, but the use of background images could be better.

When I load the background images I check the following options:

- Match Bitmap
- Lock Zoom/Pan
- Display Background

maybe something with overall 3dsMax settings i have to change? (see attachment file for the example)

Thanx

You should stick to blueprints applied to planes. Every time I tried background images, I spent more time readjusting them than modeling.
