Hi,
I’ve created already some models with a displace modifier as you can see in the attachment image.
But i suck in illustrator and photoshop stuff.
Is it possible to create the same with a plane with some segments and draw some splines over it?
So i can move the spline(s) up so the shape follows the spline smoothly ?
Maybe i’m thinking in the wrong direction.
The problem with this is that the lines cross each other so its not possible to create it with
the loft tool (i think).
Thanks in advance.

I don’t see an easy way to do it Frederic.
In my opinion the only way is the standard one - editing the edges.

Hi Ivan,
I agree with your solution, but when de splines run crisscross it becomes to difficult
for me to align them decent like i would do in a bezier-line.
I’ve done this yesterday in inventor in 10 minutes. (see attachment)+ i keep the control over everything i model.
Sometimes it’s easier for me to model it in a program i know very good and then export to max because max has features to dream about in other programs.
Best regards,
Fréderic

This has been always a good method Frederic,
The most important is to find the way that is working for you.
Actually, that isn’t easy to get because Max doesn’t allow “crossed” lines or lines with “T” junction outside of a mesh. What can we do nobody is perfect. :)
