I need to model a bicycle pump track - one of those closed tracks with swoops, mounds, woopdie-doos and steep banked turns.
I have a specific design as far as layout, turn radius and cross sections.

What would be the best method of modeling this surface in MAX?

When I try a patch, with enough verticies to give me the control I need my machine bogs down. Way, way down (quad core 2.53 GHz, 4 Gig RAM Windows 7 64 bit).

Thanks,
john
