Is there a way to detach an element of an object all at once? For example a building with 50 elements that I want to detach each separately. Thank you.

Firstly - which version of Max? This, and your brief system specs, are best put in your sig - that way we don’t need to keep asking.

Second - what type of object? Mesh? Poly?
If it’s an Editable poly, try the solution in this thread.
