I love max 7 and 8, they are the best for learning as that not a lot of stuff is automated for you. I recently moved up to Max 2011 to compare it to Max 7.  One of the most basic things, or so I thought, would be to flip the object so you can see the insides of the walls, and not the outsides.  This is done in Max 7 my simply selecting all of the faces of the object, and pressing the “Flip” button.  I tried doing this in Max 2011, and all it did was make it shaded black (although it does render properly).  I imported an object from Max 7 to see if it was just a view-port option and it isn’t.  Any help would be appreciated.
