Is there a way to get the 3d coordinates of a vertex without scripting?

When I select one the X, Y, and Z text boxes at the bottom have numbers but they change depending on the zoom, so they can’t be right.

I also made a sphere with a radius of 1, selected a vertex and the coordinate was > 5 which can’t be accurate.

Not sure I properly understand the issue, but the selected vertex (see attachment) has 3d coordinates that are easy to get.
