Hair and fur not rendering

I am having trouble with hair and fur im trying to make grass, using the preset for long grass, it shows up in perspective but when i render the hair and fur mod doesnt render at all, everything seems normal but am really stuck any ideas?

Are you rendering the perspective viewport or a camera? I don’t know if that matters in this case but it does in some…

Hair ad fur will not render in an ortho view but it should give you a big warning about that as well. Check the effects dialog an make sure that the hair and fur post effect is there. Also note, it is a post effect an you need to wait for the regular render completes before the hair and fur is calculated.

Same problem here. Rendering Vray Physical Camera (Max - Vray 2011, so, mr prim is supported) The only warning comes in the Vray window and it’s about Architectural material. However, the object material is a Vraymat. Updated effect, updated scene, tried with max frame buffer, VFB, no avail.

Any other ideas?
