Hello my fellow AREA users,

As a senior I’m required to do a huge project on any topic and I have chosen to do it on 3DS Max. I am amazed my the prgram and its creations. But this noob needs some serious guidance. i want to design and render an eco-friendly or contemporary home [just exterior] but tutorials online have not helped me much. I need a detailed tutorial, whether it be video or text, on designing a building, applaying materials and rendering.

i got that a few months ago and it give you a lot of theory about it aswel, so its not just a monkey see monkey do type tutorial.

If you’ve not gone through the Max tutorials I suggest you do them first, it will give you a good understanding of the tools and modifiers at you disposal. That way you’ll stand in a better stead to model exactly what you want from any concepts you’ve designed.

Tutorials can be very helpfull, but i’ve often found that can restrict you just as much, because your basically learning how to model 1 thing in 1 particular way. Learning the tools means that only your imagination restricts you, corny I know.[
