| Modeling random wires or snakes???
|
|
|
I figure I could make a few quick spline models but is there a way to repeat the geometry randomly? Like as if I wanted to make a whole floor full of snakes all wrapped togeother and intertwined. Is there a quick way to do this? Maybe a script?

there are some randomize scripts at scriptspot.com, but they are kind of old so i didnt tried them, i needed to randomize a noise modifier.
what i ended doing was like 10 copies of an asteroid, modify each one and make 10 PArrays so u have them scatter around a box, for an asteroid field

You could try using Reactor - let them fall into a box and settle. Should be fairly random.

NVidia 9800GTX-512 (Driver 266.58).

There is a free ivy plugin that may do what what you want. Maybe if you grow the ivy without leaves, you might get the effect you want.

I recall seeing a script that did random wires. You draw one spline for the path and it makes a load of them following that path, but untidy, not a neat loom.

Thanks guys! I think the reactor solution will work best for me. Every time i use the ivory i just can’t seem to get the results i’m looking for but that’s definatly a program i’ll use with photoshop one of these days. Thanx again!

!
thank you for creating wire bundler, it’s a great tool and has literally saved me hours of tweaking spline handles :D
