New to 3Ds Max, need help to make a laptop model

Hi

Im new to 3Ds Max and i want to use this program for my graphics assessment.
Can anyone link me to some guides, preferably to make models related to laptops.

Here are three links to download notebook models, you could have a look and see what they are made of:

I would use chamfer (rounded edges) boxes to start then convert it to an Editable Poly and carve the various features.
Here’s one I started some time ago just to show a screen with a desktop image, but never developed any further.

another question...can 3D Studio Max 8 open 3ds files? cuz mine cant…

Open Max, then use the Import option under File.
