hi everybody. i am still trying with them dreadlocks. now I’ve decided to use geometry for instance and i have a loft object which i would like to use as hairs (to make it looks like dreadlocks) but any way when i do that the hairs don’t grow from the surface any more they begging to grow from the inside of the object .i am attaching a file with it. so my problem is that i can’t move them and i also need to scale them with “style hair” to make them longer and when i do that they grow both ways which means they show on the other side of my grow object as well.how can i fix this problem? i am attaching a second file with them already being scaled and showing on the other side. thanks in advance

The pivot point of your hair has to be at the base.
i had a quick play with it and did this. Its a max 2009 file.
