Hello,

I’m working on an object in edit poly mode (the modifier, not the convert to editable poly). I’ve modelled this object and when i was done I’ve applied the chamfer effect on all edges.

The questions is: Is there a way to reset the effect (or turn it off) without deleting the modifer edit poly? I’ve done all the modelling in the poly edit, so I really don’t wanna to delete it, I just want the chamfer effect gone!

Thanks in advance. :-)

Add an E-poly, do all the shape editing, before you apply chamfer, add a second E-poly and then do the chamfer.
That way you can turn the chamfer off and on at will with the little light bulb in the stack without effecting the first E-poly.

thanks for the tip samab! youre right but i was talking to other guys in another forum and they told me to get a plugin modifier called “Edgechex”. It’s really a nice plugin, you just have to select the object, apply the modifier and ajust the values. if someone else is having problem with chamfer, he should take a look at this plugin.

Edgechex is a really cool plugin, but sometimes it chamfers more edges that you want, or doesn’t chamfer the edges you want. If you ever run into that, I suggest doing what Samab suggested.
