Hi,

We build a large building scene with containers. First we made smal building blocks (doors, windows etc.). Second we made a file with about 15 different houses (containing containers from the first file) and pute those inside containers. Third we build the large compilation with all the containers (containing the houses and nested containers containing the smaller building blocks).

This structure is very flexible, and easy to keep up with changes in the plan.

But alas, it’s very very slow to work on. Especcialy saving the containers from the second file takes more than 20 minutes. Containers are on our local network (which works fine). Changing materials means opening the first level of containers, changing materials and closing the containers. Takes a very very long time.

Does anybody recognize this slow down? I can’t find a cause or way to speed up the proces.

Regards,

Hi,

I have the exact same problem as you. I tried to work with containers on a new project containing lots of similar buildings. At first it seemed to work alright, but now it’s taking ages (around 8 min) to save AND load.
I tried creatin a new scene where I merged all the objects. But the problem still persists.

Have you found a solution to this ??
