hi i have some problem with paper fold effect to my book scene

I was able to get one fold effect but not any close to the paper folding effect. Some twist is going on there, maybe some faking of 3d perspective lines or something? anyone any idea?

i want to simulate paper folding effect in 3ds max.

You will need to add edges to the page where the folds will be, use Cut, Connect or Slice to add them. Use a Mesh Select to select the part that is to fold. Add an Xform on top of the selection, move it’s pivot to the right place, then animate the rotation.
This is an old anim. At the time it didn’t seem that straight forward to do, with the multiple folds. Looking at it now, the smoothing groups need some attention.

ok that’s fine, it is possible to roll the paper rather than folding.

Bend will roll it to an extent. To roll several times, try Path Deform, using a Helix as the path.

I found another way using bend. With just bend, over 360deg, it curls over it’s self. Add a Skew mod before bend in the stack, then when bend goes over 360, it forms a spiral shape, not a circle.
