I’m having a problem with my modelling. As you can see in the attached JPEG, as soon as the symetry modifier is applied there is an issue with the geometry. The vertices at the symetry mirror point stick to one another until I pull them apart a certain distance. It is like there is a snap setting on or that the vertices have a weight towards one another? It’s only happening at the axis point where the symetry modifier is located and I have turned off the snap settings and am not sure if there is other vertices snap settings available. Has anyone encountered this before?

Thanks

It’s the Weld Seam option and Threashold, disable it or reduce the threashold.

Hi Samab, I just figured it out before I got to your post. Thanks for the quick reply

You can also use the Mirror Modifier with the “copy” box selected. Mirror modifier is similar to the symmetry modifier, but without the weld seam and slice modifier attached.
