About the mental ray Seminar 2010
This is the second annual “mental ray Seminar”, presented by the Chicago Autodesk Animation User’s Group Association (AAUGA) and this time hosted by our friends at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills Illinois. This free event is sponsored by Autodesk for both breakfast and lunch.
Registration is required via Event Bright. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PRINT YOUR TICKET. Save the planet.
The “mental ray Seminar” is a comprehensive look at the features and applications of the mental ray rendering engine within Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2011. The seminar is presented by Jennifer O’Connor and is based on her new book, “Mastering mental ray” (http://tinyurl.com/y94ase4) and will take attendees through the core concepts of mental ray, through the optimization of lighting, materials and mental ray settings, and on to essential indirect illumination tools and techniques. This seminar is geared towards any student or professional using 3ds Max Design to produce renderings, and will be available as a live in-person event and also via the internet. See http://www.max3ds.com for more details on online attendance.
Although the seminar is based on 3ds Max Design 2011, the topics covered in mental ray apply to nearly all mental ray enabled applications including Revit, Maya and Softimage, to name a few.
In-person attendance may be limited, and the number of tickets ‘sold’ determines the amount of food we buy, so please DO NOT get a ticket if you will be attending online or may not attend in-person. We are attempting to accommodate all that wish to attend the in-person event, so please do not hesitate to attend if you can!
