Hi

Ok em I’ll try to explain what I need to create. Lets say I got a teapot, and a Paaray modifier. I set it to Object Fragments and link to Teapot. So the particle create teapot, I add then deflector that move through teapot. Particle fly around the one that got hit by deflector and thats great so far so good. Now the problem is that with 5 000 000 shapes after 500 frames ~particle are everywhere and way too far from camera + lag my pc. So I try to kill the particle with Life time but it also kills the one that was not affected by deflector (and they need to stay there until they got hit by deflector) So how do I kill them ? I try to create sphere around particles at distance where they could be killed but I don’t know which deflector can do it or tool.. And if I select in Paaray options to kill particles at collision they also kill them from the 1st deflector..(if I could just exclude the first deflector that would make it work but theres no such options...) so basically thats it..

btw do any1 know how to make Paaray particle in Pflow? I need some extra options like ‘’go to target’’ etc etc… There is way to do it with script from cg cokies (http://www.cgcookie.com/articles/2009/08/18/create-an-exploding-planet-in-3d-studio-max) but then Id have to divide my final mesh on to few milions of objects… and that will kill max instantly…

There is also way to do it with Pflow but its bit complicated… Basically I use shape Mark if I’m not wrong but cant be sure if it will work have to experiment with it a bit more…

Thanx all for help and your time!!!

If its till unclear… I’ll try to upload some pics or scene so its easier to understand…
