Hi to everybody.
I need to freeze and restart (stop or gradually stop, like Matrix bullet time effect) a stream of particles that is moving along a spline with a speed by icon.

Stoppin’ it is not a problem: I’ve added an Age test Operator set to absolute time that sends out the particles to another event with a Speed Operator with zero speed.

The problem is to make the particles restart moving in the same direction and speed they had before stopping. I’ve tried with another Age test that leads to the same initial speed by icon but the particles move in strange way.

In attachment you find a max file with a test scene, do you have some “magic” solution?
Thank you!

If you didn’t find a solution yet, check out Bobo’s post here about using the evaluation version of Krakatoa to retime the particles.
