I hope this is the right place to ask this. I have posted this same question to the 3D Aliens forum but I guess most of the users uses this Area more usually.
So here is the copy of the post:
Hi. I’m trying to do some medical water simulations where I need to simulate water moving in a cuvette (it’s a medical “thing” like test-tube) but what ever I do the water looks like goo or some other slime, it’s just too thick and looks too heavy. Is there any trick to make it more accurate water? I know there may not be much tricks but I have played with this two days trying different options and I haven’t got any good results.
Thanks
Mikko.

Check the Glu3D docs, like the Glu3D Help.chm file.
You probably need to adjust the settings in the Particle source thickness which “is a kind of viscosity parameter for the liquid”. The CHM help file has animations explaining the different settings.

Thanks for your help, but I can’t find any Glu3D help files. Even from 3ds maxs additional help doesn’t give me that. I tried to install it again and it seems to install some help files but I can’t find them. :/

did you look for the “glu3d help.chm” file?
It’s in the “help” folder in the max installation.

Yes I did. I guess it didn’t install those files because my max is installed on another drive. Tomorrow when I go back to work I will try to make manually those folders to c:\program files and re-install glu if it works.

I recently installed the new version of Glu3D and the Help file is missing from the help directory. You should be able to acces it fromthe (?) icon on the end of the glu toolbar, but it gives a message that it cannot open. If you look in the help directory it’s not there.
