Sorry again for only making these kind of threads where i am only asking for help all the time but i am kinda desperate here.

Ok so i have 3ds Max 2009 on a 32-bit XP.

I have downloaded Greeble 9 for 3ds max 2009 at least 5 times from different hosters and i still get the same message every time i try to run Max.
DLL<C:\Program\Autodesk\3ds Max 2009\stdplugs\greeble9-32.dlm> is not made for this verision of the program - not loading.

I think i am going nuts here, what am i doing so horribly wrong that all my plugins fails me?

Looks like you are downloading the Max “9” version. not the “2009” version. The plugin should be named “greeble2009-32.dlm” for the 2009 version.
Get it here: http://max.klanky.com/

I have downloaded Greeble 9 for 3ds max 2009

Is Greeble 9 made for Max 9, not Max 2009?

For 2009 32-bit

For Max 9 32-bit

I have no idea actually.

To be honest i did not even know what the difference between Max 9 and Max 2009 is *embarrassed*

Oh well, to the point again.
I have tried both verisions before and got the same message.
I downloaded both verisions in your links and i still got the same message, i was sad at first, but then when i tried looking for the greeble modifier in Max i actually found it and it worked to my great surprise, it did not before.

So you both have my thanks :)

And now i just have to figure out why the **** it works when the pop-up box clearly says that it doesn’t :/

Did you remove the old version first?

To be honest i did not even know what the difference between Max 9 and Max 2009 is *embarrassed*

The versions of Max from 1 to 9 were called 1 and 2 and 3 etc… Then they decided to start naming the versions by the year that follows the year that it’s actually released, that makes sense now doesn’t it?

Yeah, i figured it was something like that.
So Max 9 and Max 2009 is basically the same program right?
Or are there a difference between them?

They are the same in the sense that a Mini and a Formula 1 racecar are both “cars”. You wouldn’t expect an exhaust from one to fit the other - you can’t expect a plugin for one version of Max to work on another (and they generally don’t).

Max 4.2 through 2013.
XP-64 (SP2)
NVidia 9800GTX-512 (Driver 266.58).
Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz, 8Gb Ram, DX9.0c.

Ver 9 is ver 9.
The next version was 2008 (ver 10)
Then 2009 (ver 11)
2010 is coming soon.
Usually plugins have to be recompiled for new versions.
