KabooM is an explosion animation tool. You have to precut your geometry before.( You can do precut with this ). Kaboom works with any geometry object.

Download KabooM 1.01 >> MAX2010 x32 and x64 compatible

How do you make more than one Kaboom explosion in a scene? As in a series of explosions. When I try it overwrites the exising animation.

That’s pretty neat. I dont have a use for explosions this moment, but I am definitely putting this one in my “cool plugins I want to find a use for some day” folder.

EDIT: I noticed that some of the fragments seems to “jump around” once they’re in their “final” positions (after the blast is over and the fragments should have stopped moving) and a few seem to actually fall into each other. Is there a way to fix that?

I’m not sure what’s wrong, but the download link takes me to an error page.

Looks like all the scripts have been removed. If you go to http://laurent.renaud.free.fr/tutoriels.html you can see that the scripts are no longer links. Maybe he’s just revamping the site and hasn’t done them yet?

There is a Contact link which just opens an email “Compose” window (in your default email client) so try sending him a mail.

I had trouble accesing his site yesterday while posting a link to his EZcarRig, the French version worked, but I could not get the English one. Someone wanted the tutorial but could not read the French.
