Interesting! Thanks for the feedback.
Beau, so far nobody has said anything about other stuff that is installed, but I have asked about specific configurations in hopes of narrowing it down a bit. I’m wondering if it might be something that was cured in SP1.
If there was a significant problem with the build, I’d assume I would have heard more complaints about it—As it is, I’ve only received a few emails (out of over 9000 copies of Greeble2010 downloaded). So it does make me wonder just what is up.
Speaking of which, you know what’s really kind of sad?
I give Greeble away for free. When I released Greeble for Max 2010, I put a little click-to-donate box up on my site for a local wildlife rehabilitator, thinking that people who got a little fun out of Greeble might be willing to donate a dollar or two to help out these people who help injured animals get back on their feet. To date, they’ve received a whopping $122 in donations! From just 10 donors. Out of 9000 downloads!
If every person who downloaded Greeble had donated just ONE LOUSY DOLLAR, Pine View Wildlife Rehab could have completed a number of projects they are working on for their animals, or bought a lot of food for the injured hawks, foxes, owls, eagles and other animals that they care for.
It sure is disappointing. I was very excited about the concept of this plugin doing something good in the world with a bunch of little donations from Max users—Talk about a letdown.
Incidentally, I want to send a big THANK YOU to the people who did donate:
