Hi everyone, I have downloaded, installed, and referred to the manual of all of these plugins for 3DS Max; However, I can’t seem to find a way to make them run; I don’t know what the interface looks like for any of these external plugins or any plugins for 3DS Max for that matter. I was wondering if you guys can provide a simple tutorial, or show how the hell is it that you execute external plugins for 3DS Max. I find it very complicated for no reason, I wish it was like photoshop, were you install a plugin in the plugin folder for Photoshop and then you can easily locate it and RUN IT, under what ever category the plugin is; meaning, if I install an HDR plugin for photoshop I will fin it under the filters pull down menu and execute it through there. With Max I install the plugin, look through the help files and HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE HOW TO EXECUTE THE PARTICULAR PLUGIN........I’m mostly concerned with Afterburn, RAYFIRE and Thinking Particles, Those three are my top priority. They are all demo versions and I would really appreciate it if you guys can atleast teach me how to launch a plugin in Max....

Thanks and Sorry for being such a NOOOB!!!!

Dreamscape creates entries in the Creation Tab, click the drop down arrow to the right of the Geometry type field
to find the Dreamscape Terrain and Sea Surface objects.
The Dreamscape Sun is in the Lights section, click the drop down arrow to find it.
The Dreamscape Sea Surface dynamics object is in the Space Warp section.
The Dreamscape Sky plugin is in the Environment Panel.
Been a while since I used Afterburn but that functions after you create a particle system,
then if I remember, that is also found in the Environment Panel where you choose the particle system to base on Afterburn.
No experience with the others.

Rayfire tutorials - http://www.mirvadim.com/index.php?id=tutorials

Afterburn tutorials - http://www.3dluvr.com/content/maxedout.php (at the top of the list)

TP has a massive user manual with tutorials in it - most online tutes are for C4D and the concepts of TP aren’t easy to get across in one go, given it has many MANY different operators and functions, many of which are usually needed together to achieve a certain physical effect.
