Last night i started modeling the model that is below, after making the basic shape i tried to animate the rotor to see how it looks, i did the rotation in the local z axis because i had aligned the pivot as you see below. While setting the keys everything was fine but when i hit play i had unpredictable results because of gimbal lock.
Anyone any tip to make the rotor rotate normal on it axis please?
Thanks

Try this:
“reset” the rotor alignment to normalized in worldSpace (like, 0,0,0 or 0,0,90 deg),
then parent the rotor to a similarly aligned helper (point obj.).
Rotate the helper as needed, and link to the craft (the rotor will follow, of course),
then animate the rotor rotation.

(i think that will do it!)
