Hello,

I am a long time Max user but first time doing a serious animation with CAT.

My question is what is the preferable pose for rigging my character for animation?  I have a general idea that the elbows and knees should be bent a bit but what of the fingers - should they be slightly curled towards a fist?

To give you an idea of my requirements, I plan to animate the character using the Max 2012 CAT in a dance sequence and he must also be able to grasp a staff type object.

The model is animation ready with the all the edge loops in the right places, but as I said this is the first time I have done this so if there are common mistakes people make then please share your expertise.

Also if you think I may have missed something here let me know.  Perhaps there is a tutorial that will answer all of my questions?

Thanks in advance!
