Please help!
I want to make a 4 wheel vehicle rig using the Carwheel reactor. I want to do this as a means of learning how to use 3ds Max, and have completed many tutorials. I do not want to use plug-ins. It seems nobody uses the Carwheel to any extent. I do not want a simple car rig. I want to use the Carwheel reactor as it was meant to be used. I want to realistically steer and follow terrain with the rig. Am I being realistic? Is it even possible? I am learning 3ds Max as a hobby, hoping to eventually find employment in some capacity. I used Mechanical Desktop and Inventor for many years doing tool & die design, but most of that work has gone offshore. I intend to continue learning and hoping for the best. So, shortcuts won’t help. If I were in a hurry, they would, but won’t help me learn that much. I like tutorials that use scripts, as I am having great difficulty understanding the scripting language and making my own scripts. I would like to make tutorials to share and help other 3ds Max users, but it seems that most tutorials cover the same subjects over and over. I have completed all the toy car tutorials, but they just don’t serve the purpose of making a realistic vehicle. If the Carwheel reactor can’t do this, I would like to know exactly why. It’s not only for myself, but I know from hours of online searches that a lot of other people are trying to accomplish the same thing I am, without success. I am a hotrodder by nature, build my own cars as a hobby, and think it would be really cool to make hotrods in 3ds Max. So, if somebody out there is willing to help me out, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you!
