Delete a HI solver problem

I am really having a big problem. I have a HD Solver placed on a character and it hasn’t worked the way I want it but the problem is that the bones are fixed into the objects and if i delete the Ik solver i also delete the part its attached to so how can i Delete the chain and start from fresh?



I use 3D Studio max 2009
My operating system is windows vista

Should just be able to select the solver and delete it. Is this the HI or the HD solver that you are having problems with. By the way I wouldn’t use the HD solver, I have not had to touch it since the HI solver was added in Max 4.

You said it your self, everything that is linked it deleted, so, unlink it before you hit delete.
