I am rigging the twist bones in the forearm area and I am having trouble trying to select an upnode for the 2nd twist bone (the lowest twist bone on the forearm). When I uncheck the World option and select the None button and then try to select the hand bone, the selection is NOT shown on the Button. It remains “None”. Would appreciate it if someone could give me directions on why I am unable to select my Hand bone for the Upnode.

Dual Core AMD 265’s, 10 Gigs of mem.

My guess is that you are runnn into a circular dependency issue and it is not allowing it. I would suggest on not using the lookAt method and use an Expose Transform Helper instead as outlined in this tutorial on my site.

Thanks for the info. I also have this same issue using other commands when Rigging. After redoing the bone structure several times and resetting the file, I was able to continue and I assumed that corruption of the file or perhaps the service pack was causing the problems.  Will try your site tutorial.  Another question, why don’t you update your rigging DVD’s?  I find that your material is the “Best of Breed” that I have ever purchased and needs to be on everybody’s to buy list for a major source of info.

Long story on the DVDs. Just keep your eyes open for things coming down the pipe. All I can say for the moment.

As for having to redo hierarchies I can see that happening until you start to understand dependancies better.
