I’ve created a 3d character and i’ve rigged it using the Skin modifier and it seemed fine. I’m having a problem with the left thigh though, is there a way to copy the envelopes and vertices across from the right thigh that is working fine? I know there’s mirror mode, but i cant seem to be able to figure it out or its not what i need to sort out my problem.

Thanks in advance.

I’ve attached the file anyway so if you can have a look and offer any advice i’d appreciate it.

Mirror mode should do exactly that. When enabled you should see which side is blue and which is green. Copy from the good side to the bad side.

I’ve tried that but it doesnt seem to work, should it change from green to a different colour once its mirrored?

No, the two sides keep their colour after mirroring, they are colour coded the same as biped limbs.

You would be far better off correcting your mirroring problem then trying to find ways to work around it. What you need to do is center the pivot for the mesh and then reset Xform on the mesh. This needs to be done before the skin modifier. So if Skin is on the model then turn it off, move the pivot, reset xform, drag xform mod below Skin in the stack and collapse to the base, turn skin back on (model will get all wacked out) and toggle Always Deform off and then back on again. At this point check your mirror mode, it should work correctly if your model has been mirrored correctly in the first place.
