Hi,

New to Max. I’m rigging a charecter’s leg using an HI solver. My question is can I use an Orientation constraint to make a foot for instance not go through a floor if I’m animating the torso moving down etc.?

I’ve tried using the orientation constraint to do this with no luck. I’ve posted a max project to illustrate what I’m talking about.

Thanks!

try applying another HI-solver from the ankle to the toe tip (one joint), this should prevent the toe joint from going through the floor while you move the hips up and down
