Hi,

I have been trying to solve this by my own, but with no luck…

I’m making a robot, but im having a trouble with two joints. It works properly when i have added constraints, but when i add HD solver, it starts to make its own show. I have tried to make tricks to make it work, but none have worked out so far, maybe someone of you can help me?

I added a picture of the problem. (And another on wireframe, so you can understand wich parts it consists of) Red circle areas are the problem. As you can see the parts should be jointed together, but when i move robot tool (dummy) it comes apart. I have tried to make dummys for both axels(and linked them to right axels in schematic view) and then use orientation constraint to keep them together, but it doesn’t keep them together. Also I have tried to use link constraint but no… Goal is to move dummy001 and everything else should follow it.

There is .max file in attachments, robot model is freely available from motoman site so I think its ok to share.

Greetings.
Gepa

I got it working! It was my own fault, when i was attaching unnecessary parts to the main axels, i attached one important part to the frame, so it couldn’t move like it should. After i re-attached the parts and constrainted them, it started to work properly.
