Currently the Hair solution is very good but it lacks in 2 main areas.
1. Better MR interactivity. The apply Skylight and shadow intensity settings don’t work well.
2. Dynamics. The problem with the hair is that the vertices on the guides (which are responsible for the dynamics) are 15 and cannot be increased. In short hair or fur this problem is not visible but when you create long hair the distance between these vertices becomes large, and the guides dot not collide properly with other geometry, thus allowing the hair to penetrate surfaces.
