A small adjustment to the array interface would be nice. Placing the reference cordinate system and transform center buttons on the interface would save a lot of Cancel and change both or one or the other to what one had intended but forgot to change’ operations and help the work flow along.
An edge proximity updater would also be useful when arraying objects. Ie; closest corners or edges or surfaces to separate geometry ; let one know when objects touch, overlap or not.
Also a fifth view port (pop up) for active camera view for when top, left, front and perspective are already in use.
Perhaps a Lock Camera position check box in the camera window would help avoid accidentally moving camera position when in camera view port and working frantically. (faster than going to the Motion > Locks panel).
Please dump the steering wheel for the view ports.

A real helpful change would be to include whatever units of measure are being used in the drawing to be included in ALL of the material settings. Ie; Cellular map;- default size is 5. 5 what???? 5”,5’,5cm,5M etc.
Just my humble offering.
Thanks to all
Andy Middleton

Those are really great ideas. I was planning to place ideas about this myself, but you already beat me to the point.
In any case, you can drop the steering-wheel yourself by customization right?
A free-floating 5th viewport to use for example “perspective"-view would be really handy when animating.

Hey! Thanx ;) Yes you can dump the steering wheel in the preferences dialogue. IMOP though its just cumbersome and clutters the work area. The suggestion was more cosmetic than functional.
Best regards,
Andy
