I am currently working my way through Joep van der Steen’s book Rendering with mental ray & 3ds Max and I am anxiously awaiting the updated and revised edition of the book he has just completed in collaboration with Ted Boardman. That should be a knockout combination!

Back to my wish. Working and experimenting with the book’s examples I have clones of renderings open all over the place all with slightly different settings. It would be very helpful to be able to review how the renderings were set up. Would it be possible to attach a file of the render settings and exposure used in creating a rendering to the render?

For now what I have done is save a similarly-named render preset for the render. But how about a right-click pop-up?
