I would like to see an exclude functionality in the mental ray Material Override option, thus making it possible to quickly assign materials to a large number of objects in complex scenes (but letting a small number out). Having this functionality would mean that you could apply a uniform material to a large set of buildings and exclude backgrounds, groundplanes, skydomes, water or other objects.
