I’m trying to do some scientific visualizations, and the particle generation time greatly exceeds the render time for each frame.  I note that only 1 processor is used during this time.

It would be nice to have all processors used.  Seems to me to be a ‘natural’ parallel process - and in my case there are multiple generators anyway so each could run independently - can’t they?

I think a lot of us would benefit from multi-threaded particle systems, especially since it is becoming the standard to have multiple cores.
